CHECK OUT POLICIES

TK and Kindergarten students may borrow one (1) book or magazine each week. TK and Kindergarten books are due the following week.  Items may be renewed.

First through Fifth graders may check out one book or magazine per grade level.  (For example, 4th graders can check out 4 books while 2nd graders can check out 2).  Items may be checked out for two weeks and may be renewed.  (Check the due date slips in the books!)

Middle school students may check out up to six (6) books or magazines.  Items may be checked out for two weeks and can be renewed.

Students do NOT need to wait until their Library class day to return materials. Students may renew materials by bringing them to the Library during open library times.

Students who need more books for research may exceed their limit. Students with books overdue may not check out any more books until the item(s) have been returned or lost/damaged fees have been paid.  Items that are damaged or lost will be assessed a replacement fee.

We suggest that your child have a designated place at home for keeping track of Library books. The ability to select and return Library materials is a lifelong skill, and is your child’s responsibility!
